Medicinal uses:

Roots are diuretic, laxative, expectorant, stamachic and used in ashtama, oedema, anaemia, jundice, ascites, anasarca, scanty urine, internal inflammation, antidote to snake venom. Decoction of leaves is used to curi kidney stone. Fresh root of the plant is considered as rejuvenative drug. toots along with rice water is a good remedy of enlargement of spleen.
