Bark is uses as tonic, astringent and in skin diseases, ulcers and in scrofula. Decoction of root is used in dyspepsia. Root is effective as antidote to snake poison. Dried buds are utilized in dysentery, piles, diarrhoea and worms.


Chemical constituents :

 

Tree yields fum, bark contain tannin and seeds yield fatty oil.
